Accelerating Revel

February 26, 2026

Over the last decade, we've seen extraordinary breakthroughs in rockets, aviation, energy, and advanced manufacturing. The software infrastructure? Decades behind. I founded Revel to build a modern platform for hardware testing and control, purpose-built for high-consequence environments where reliability and safety are non-negotiable.

Today, I’m thrilled to announce our $150M Series B led by Index Ventures with major participation from Redpoint Ventures and returning investors including Thrive Capital, Felicis, and Abstract Ventures. We’re calling this our “afterburner round” as this funding gives us the resources to go full throttle—scaling Revel with the intensity and ambition this moment demands.

Why we raised now

When I founded Revel a little over a year ago, the initial focus was building modern test software for disruptive aerospace startups. The results quickly exceeded expectations across the board. Engine test stand setups that used to take 14 days took just 8 hours. Propulsion teams increased testing from once every other day to multiple times per day. Impulse now runs over 80 instances of RevelTest across their hardware testing facilities.

As we partnered more deeply with our customers, something became clear: the infrastructure we'd built for testing isn't just test infrastructure. Real-time telemetry, hardware-agnostic control, safe command execution, and instant reconfiguration are universal challenges for anyone building and operating complex physical systems. We didn't go looking for new industries. They came to us.

Revel was initially used for rocket test stands, one of the most demanding environments in the world. Today, we’re expanding beyond testing into industrial control across the critical sectors and systems that keep society running — nuclear facilities, oil and gas refineries, water treatment plants, power stations, defense systems, data centers, and biomedical manufacturing.

Every pilot we’ve run over the course of Revel’s history has converted into a customer. The demand is outstanding, and this funding allows us to scale to meet it.

What's next

As America rebuilds industrial capability across aerospace, energy, and manufacturing, Revel will become core infrastructure for how critical hardware gets tested and controlled. This round of funding lets us grow the team and build adjacent products that act as force multipliers on the core platform.

It’s no secret that the best software talent of the last few decades went to consumer internet. That energy is shifting back to the physical world. We've assembled a killer team of engineers from SpaceX, Anduril, and Palantir and are hiring across the board. If you’re interested in working on foundational infrastructure to power multiple consequential missions across different industries, we’d love to meet you. To our employees, customers, and investors: thank you for helping us reach this milestone. We're just getting started and couldn't be more excited for what's ahead.
